MrMoran
We shouldnt. We should mark the day we kicked their arses off the island and put it back in British hands.
callippo
Liberation Day is celebrated by the Falkland Islanders on 14 June. Margaret Thatcher Day is on 10 January.

I suppose April 2nd is a bit like Pearl Harbour; a day that will live in infamy.

Makes you wonder then why the BNP has picked as their candidate for the London Mayoral election this year a Uruguayan who wanted to fight for the Argentinians at the time. Just to point out that a commemoration doesn't always mean a celebration. The OP might only be intending to suggest that we should remember it, not that we should celebrate or honour it. (If it WAS their intention to suggest that we celebrate it, I'm with you. We shouldn't.)

I certainly don't think we should celebrate, but as Argentina are kicking up about oil exploration we should make a lot of noise so that the world remembers that Argentina sent an amphibious invasion of a peaceful neighbours without warning.
