davep
Correct me if I'm wrong, but those figures don't add up. Ps I'm not a bitter Blade, only a bitter-drinking Blade !!!!
Robbie Loving
i didnt wanna post this on this thread as it is tottally off topic from the original post....... but to get to the premiership would yes of course mean higher wages to be paid, but to state a million per man is ludicras (that equates to 20k a week on top of what they are already earning) so lets say uniteds current wage bill is 4 million, and rose to double that, at 8 million (which is about average for a team who is just gone up to them prem) our tv rights money will swell to roughly 22 million pound. gates and merchandise will increase too. obviously this is combated with new signings, signing on fees etc etc........ but then we get bigger sponsorship revenue....... then if we was to come down we would get our parachute payments, which consist of around 9 million pound for the 2 seasons after you get relegated. norwich went up with a bigger wage bill than we currently have, and they carried on adding to that........ so i would not read too much in to any stories from there camp
