ANGELFIRE1
Let's do nowt with the NHS and all watch as it dies a long lingering death. Or we can reform it, and hopefully get it back to full health. As for the quacks who would stand in opposition to the necessary changes, grow a brain. Angel.

green
indeed however the reforms currently planned seem to be for the benfit of private companies and millionaires and not for patients Exactly. Its a fool who doesnt believe that huge changes are needed in the NHS to continue it to service the countries needs, but the present proposals are ludicrous. More info here about the main companies who are winning the deals..... http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2012/mar/17/nhs-shakeup-health-firms-tax-havens As per they are tax evaders! HeadingNorth
So you believe a group of millionaires who probably dont use the NHS are better to manage it than a group of Doctors who have worked in the industry for years. People elected to Parliament don't manage the NHS, they run the country.

HeadingNorth
They determine the bill to change it. That'll take a week. What will they be doing for the remaining four years 51 weeks, and how much damage will they cause to the country while they're at it?

What will they be doing for the remaining four years 51 weeks, and how much damage will they cause to the country while they're at it? it's hard to see how they could damage it any worse than our current crop of mp's. at least these doctors will have had a real job and interacted with real people unlike many of our current crop of mp's many of whom will not have done an honest days work in their over-privileged lives
woodmally
Probably more like the father of Michael Shelds or the mother of Gary McKinnon. Or this particular candidate in the 2001 election. http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/person/7370/katie-price

What will they be doing for the remaining four years 51 weeks, and how much damage will they cause to the country while they're at it? Why and how could they cause any damage to country? Presumably they won't have any party whip or affiliation so they'll vote on issues rather than because they've been told to. Most MPs are lobby fodder anyway nowadays. I'm sure they will be putting patient care at the top of their agendas rather than maximising profits for their shareholders and avoiding tax. I'd certainly trust them to look after patients more than some poxy doctors and nurses....
