wednesday1
Unfortunatley the modus operandi you have described is the chosen business model for some!
wednesday1
If you did it deliberately, you might end up charged with fraud. It's not a wise idea to actually plan a bankruptcy. I can think of a certain high profile establishment on Ecclesall Rd where they have done this not once but twice and to my knowledge no charges have been brought! HeadingNorth
I can think of a certain high profile establishment on Ecclesall Rd where they have done this not once but twice and to my knowledge no charges have been brought! Can you prove it, though? It's hard to prove intent, unless they posted on an internet forum asking what would happen if they did it. That clearly proves intent. Mr Soft
you should end up here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Debtors%27_prison But if the person found himself in a situation where he would never require any more credit, or to "do business" any more what would it matter? Mr Soft
It's not just him, most people resent being made to waste their time by use of vague thread titles. Personally, if you're just wanting to avoid paying your legitimate creditors, I'd hope that if you did that, you'd end up in the gutter, just as skint, but without any possessions either. Just saying ... ... you little troll! There is no need to be rude.

Mr Soft
The responses that I have had so far tend to suggest that people who go "bankrupt" tend to do ok for themselves.
stereolab
Read this - doesn't sound like much fun to me http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/MoneyTaxAndBenefits/ManagingDebt/Bankruptcy/DG_187323 Its moronic to think of bankruptcy as an easy way out of paying debts
