FatDave
I'd say April Fools' Day, as there are many, many fools to which the day belongs.
big_g
I think that it refers to multiple fools therefore the apostrophe goes after the s April Fools' Day
HeadingNorth
All answers so far are correct. Of course, it's quite possible that the apostrophe will cease to exist in the next few decades, and some figures are actively campaigning to bring that about. HappyHoosier
I'm just double-checking in my well-worn Associated Press Stylebook and Libel Manual: Yep. There are multiple fools involved; the apostrophe goes AFTER the "S". This is the opposite of St. Valentine's Day, which honors just one fool -- a fool for love.
