CzechGirl
Saturday 24th March Shutlingsloe Shenanigans B2 (11 miles): We head south out of Macclesfield Forest, on to Shutlingsloe and down the valley near Wildboarclough. A bit of a climb out of the valley on to the moors south of Cat & Fiddle (possible pub stop) before ascending Shining Tor and then dropping back to Lamaload. Start: SJ975753, Lamaload Reservoir car park Transport: Meet at 9:15am at University car park, Durham Road (off Clarkson St), behind the Octagon - we will share lifts from here. New members are more than welcome! Just text to the walk leader by 6pm on Friday that you are coming. The details are seen on the website http://www.sheffieldwalkinggroup.org.uk/walks-list Come also to our new member's evening Where: Henry's Bar, Cambridge Street, S1 4HP When: first Tuesday of every month, from 7pm (our next meeting will be 3 April) Who is it for: if you're thinking of joining us, or you joined recently, these events are for you! We understand that not all new members are comfortable approaching a big group of strangers, even if they are as lovely as SWG. For this reason we run a new members' evening which is held the first Tuesday of every month from 7pm to 8pm - you can drop in for a drink and a chat at any point between those times. Alice and Edita are part of the committee who are looking forward to meeting you and introducing you to other new members and telling you how the club works. If you can't immediately find us then call Edita on 0753 806 4352. At 8pm, the monthly pub meet of the existing SWG members starts. You are more than welcome to stay and Alice and Edita will do their best to introduce you to potential friends and keep you having a fantastic time! Any questions or comments? Contact us on: sheffieldwalkinggroup@hotmail.com Booking Booking is not required and the event is free - just turn up on the night but do drop us an email at the above address beforehand with any queries or to let us know you'll be there if you'd like to. Look for the faces from the pictures below. We might not have the over-sized beer featured in the picture but we will have some SWG leaflets and posters on the table so that you can easily identify us!
