kay1 Posted March 20, 2012 Share Posted March 20, 2012 Can any oldies on the Forum remember in the ?late forties early fifties a party of race goers going to Doncaster by stagecoach, my brother remembers that coming back they always stopped at the Plumpers Hotel and the driver blew the hunting horn as he got to the Plumpers to rest the horses before going on to Sheffield. My brother remembers going down to see the stagecoach which he says was pulled by four horses, and he thinks it may have been an outing from some pub,and they went for many years.
