toptotty1117
I'd really like to go for a drink or a meal in a place where some guy is playing on a piano. Does anyone know of one. When I search on the net it comes up with the piano bar on london road but apparently this has closed down?

SWFC00
Ruskins in Tudor Square have live musicians performing at dinner time & during the evening. Email them and see what they say. I'm sure if they don't they will know somewhere that does! Ruskins
algy
The new and much-loved hotel next to the town hall has a piano, though when I passed through there was no pianist and recorded music instead. Might be worth enquiring though.

laalaa
I believe the bar that replaced Regents Terrace restaurant (just off West Street near Sinclairs) is a piano bar. I think it's called Ivory or something similar. EDIT: It is called Ivory and they have a website.
toptotty1117
I have just checked out the website for the Ivory and it looks exactly the type of place I was after. Thanks so much x
kat_1b
don't bother with the Ivory, my boyfriend was turned away from there on Sat by the doormen....only wanted ladies in there? A tad up it's own arse!! They should welcome clientele, especially nice ones! He's no chav!!!
Sam @ Dearne
Ignore Kat_1b, one bad experience does not make it a bad bar. Perhaps she should rate it when she actually gets through the doors !!! I am a bloke and always get in, I know a lot of the male bar staff from Sharkeys go in for a drink in a group and they are not exactly what you would call 'smart' although they are well behaved and well mannered. Also you may want to try Boho, they have a piano and on a similar theme to The Ivory, not sure when the Piano is used though. Slinky
Majenta
Boho on Campo lane has live musicians friday and saturday night, usually a jazz pianist-saxophonist combo.
