Union projects funded by labour

Recommended Posts

In 2005 the Labour Government implemented a fund that provided cash to the unions to assist with projects such as a new database for RMT members and the collection of subs, training courses on how to make your workplace greener and assistance with recruitment of new members.

It appears that the set-up rules of this fund have resulted in it not being able to be closed until mid this year and that projects continue to be funded.

Surely if Unions want to improve things then they should pay themselves?? This is just another example of the utter contempt that Labour had for the taxpayer and shows their desperation in trying to keep their paymasters happy !!!

Details were in tonights London Evening Standard !!

CWU leader Alan Johnson carreer path and co incidental refusal to represnt the member in a sex discrimination case ought to paint a picture of the true relationship between union leaders and government and indeed leadership to membership.

Coupled with recent arrests of Mining officials from Notts one has to ask which if any can be trusted on any issue other than to feather their own nests at the expense of the members.

One presumes that labour provided money via the taxpayer, they never have enough money in their own coffers to do anything unless the unions let them.

Well the article does quote £7million of taxpayers money and not funds from Labours own purse !!

Is that the best you can do? You can't deflect attention away from bad press the current government is receiving just like that you know.
