netnikki
:(:( how can we be in drought conditions when were are a country surrounded by water...?http://www.gewater.com/what_we_do/water_scarcity/desalination.jsp
HeadingNorth
Desalination plants are still more expensive to run than the water they produce is valuable. It's a losing proposition. More and more people are making the case for cross-country pipeline networks, though; but even that is currently much more expensive than can be justified. Guest sibon
we being the nation... The nation isn't in drought conditions. Some parts of it are. There is nothing stopping people moving from the dry East to the wet West.
