Francis Maude Should Resign

Recommended Posts

But they aren't striking - they've voted to strike, but are at ACAS having discussions about how to avoid a strike

Ok your right. They arnt striking but if they didnt hold the ballot for strike action and panic the general public everything would be ok.

This could go on and on, but if they didn't have a grievance with their employers, they wouldn't hace voted to strike.

Whether you like it or not, people have a right to go on strike if they feel agrieved

True that fact is not being debated. What is being debated is the blame for this chaos on Francis Maude. The chaos started by the industrial action ballot. Therefore the blame for this chaos rests wth Unite union. If they didnt ballot we would not have this chaos. Francis Maude is not to blame he has done nothing wrong this time.

No it didn't. Nobody would have even been aware about it if it wasn't for Government Ministers appearing on TV banging on about bringing the army in and stockpiling petrol.

The Union was within it's rights to hold a ballot. Or don't you believe in democracy?

Francis Maude is bordering on giving illegal information as he said " people should fill jerry cans with petrol and store in their garage " which is a very highly dangerous thing to say as some garages are under the house or block of houses so one accident could cause a severe fire to a lot of homes.

I would like to hear the Fire services views on this information.

The Unite union is not to blame, it is the members who have had a ballot as they feel they cannot negotiate any more with their employers and the employers are several logistic company's who are contracted to the oil companies who bid against each other to gain the contract in the first place.

.....And are constantly undermining the drivers pensions to enable lower contract bids.

I dont remember all this hysterical behaviour from the Tories when their cronies, the farmers and the indepebdent wagon drivers were blockading the refineries and blocking main roads and motorways about 12 years ago.

That was a full blown disaster, once again brought about by the Tories.

Diesel was about 80p a litre

Remember?, when they were trying to undermine the Labour government.?
