Yuri
We can't. It's our problem now. And a growing one... Nothing will be done, other than some tokenism. Nothing was done last year, last decade, the 90's 80's etc etc. Does not matter who is in charge as the big 3 will not tackle this disgusting crime. How sick is that? And btw, what's mentioned in this thread is very common in India.

Harleyman
This is about a 'marriage' ceremony, not sex. And the ceremony is not a legally recognised one so they aren't legally considered to be married. Duh! like sex in one form or another doesn't happen following marriage although it's about as obscene as it get when a full grown man, sometimes old enough to be her grandpa takes a bride of say 10 or

Harleyman
I think you might be leaping to completely unfounded conclusions... Unfounded conclusions? What would be the point of a man taking a child for a bride? If sexual gratification with a young virgin isn't part of the scene at that period of the marriage then the alternative purpose must be servitude and complete obedience. A form of slavery by any other name

The major Abrahamic religions don't help womens' cause much in this respect either.
