How to get rid of this unelected government

Recommended Posts

I don't. I have two dictionaries on the shelf and three that I use regularly online. Not a single one of them defines a jerry-can by a specific size.

Everyone knows what a jerry can looks like.

It is a metal rectangular containter, dark green in colour, with a screw on cap.

Its capacity is about 4 1/2 gallons.

That is enough to demolish your street if it exploded.

the ballot box hasn't failed though, everyone of us here have.

the choice we are offered of three almost identical parties and a handful of nutters and other unsavoury types is a result of us, the citizens, disconnecting from politics.

if you want a better quality of candidate then there is one thing to do and that is to get involved, join your local party, whichever one suits your preferences labour, conservative or lib dem. get involved in selecting the candidate, select someone who isn't the standard "ppe-graduate special advisor" type but select a person who has done an honest days work, experienced real life, is normal. if no one like that stands, then find someone who is like that an encourage them to stand. once you have selected the right candidate, go out and canvass.

if we all work together we can reclaim politics, don't expect someone else to do this for you because the current shower are that someone else.

i am a card carrying member of te conservative party, although they are a bit left wing.

As a "national patriot" I find it curious that you admire a party with a tendency to flog off our national assets to the highest, often forewed

Rather than one that took us into 5 wars, bankrupted us, kissed the rearend of the yanks at every opportunity allowed millions of immigrants access, allowed public services to squander billions, raided our pensions, sold of our gold, ?

How do you think the Tories are going to turn around the 10 point lead Labour have at the moment?

Maybe they have a "Thatcher moment" scheme up their sleeves that us plebs havent thought about yet. ;)

Lets hope so. The British voter is quite likely to vote the socialists in at the next election. Thats how stupid and selfish we are . Cameron knew when he took the job that the last election was a bad one to win due to the mess he inherited, therefore I think he isnt bothered that much, he will do what is right for the country, leave us solvent so your lot can set about cocking it up again as they have every time they have been in power.

But not to worry, the tories will stick around and will be there to pick up the pieces once again.
