How to get rid of this unelected government

The privately educated Tory class warrior strikes again.

Now Stanley, you are the only class warrior on here, I went to a secondry school, pretty poor one at that, never did they send a student to university, not one. But they taught us to read.

Because I can read I can study, also life has taught me many lessons, the dominant one politically is that socialism, the basis of your class war, doesnt work. What we currently have, whether they are privately educated (William Haque went to Wath Comp) or not, is far more likely to get us out of the mess your Labour gangsters left us in.

Stan seems to be easily confused.

My contempt for socialism/ists is shared equally between those across the class spectrum, but Stan like many of his ilk is acutely susceptible to the politics of envy - that powerful fuel for socialism - and does not find it within his grasp to contemplate that others my not be bothered about class. Politics and class are not the same thing - except in the minds of those who fall prey to the green-eyed monster.

As an aside, do tell me Stan - why are you so fascinated with me? Why have you repeatedly disclosed personal information about my school background on here, and why do you pm other members of SF trying to find out more about me?

It's flattering from my perspective, but rather sad from yours - you need a better hobby.

On another thread I am discussing my rabbit problems, I think Stan may be a bunny boiler!!!!!

People who are educated at fee paying schools are the product of our class system. They go to fee paying schools because such schools are exclusive in that they are only available to people with the money to pay. Any person worth his salt would not need to go to such a school as his true academic and personal attributes would shine through in a state school. Fee paying schools merely produce snobs who know nothing about the real world. They can even make idiots look as if they have potential.

A most enlightened view from somebody who, one must assume, has experience of both state and private education, so as to offer a qualified opinion?

That was a very discerning and profound comment for someone with limited vision and comprehension who has only sat on one side of the fence.

I know I've come very late into this thread, but I need a couple of things clarified. Firstly how is the current government unelected, and secondly if the current government shouldn't be running the country, who should?

As you avoided comment last time, I'll ask you directly Stan - do you have experience of both state and private education?

And, out of curiosity, answer me this one. Why on average do private schools manage significantly higher pass rates and grades at GCSE and A level than state schools?

There are perhaps one of two options. Is it because the young people who attend private school are all of higher calibre? (obviously, they're all fox-hunting chinless wonders from a limited gene pool, so that can't be the answer), or is it because private schools offer a better standard of education, providing support to the weaker student and advancement for the gifted?

How can they possibly perform better when "Any person worth his salt would not need to go to such a school as his true academic and personal attributes would shine through in a state school"?
