medusa
The fact that a judge has not seen fit to remove your licence does not take away from the DVLA's ability to recall your licence if they see fit. As far as I understand it the two things are not directly connected- you are punished (fines etc) for the offences and this puts the offences on your licence. Until the day that you go to court these charges are pending but not actually on your licence. Once the offences are actually on your licence this then triggers the DVLA's procedure for new drivers who have been convicted of more than 2 speeding offences. Your driving licence is not a right- it is a privilege- and getting prosecuted for 4 separate speeding offences during the first 2 years of holding your licence does seem to suggest that you aren't really bothered about keeping it, as you must be aware of the law when it comes to holding a licence.
