Sony Vaio - Password reset

I changed the password on the administrators account on my Sony Vaio a couple of months ago and the day after couldn't remember what I changed it to. So it's been sat collecting dust for 2 months as I honestly can't remember what it is...may have been due to a little too much alcohol!

 

When I try and reset it it's asking for a password reset disk.

 

Does anyone know where I can get this fixed?

 

It's running on Windows 7.

If you don't have a password reset disk (these can be created on W7) the best bet "what i would do" is to reinstall window's this will give you a fresh install but lose everything you had onit that's the downside, upside is no password

Try booting up in safe mode, it should give you the option to boot as admin then you should be able to reset it.

There isn't actually anything on the laptop that I need so that wouldn't be a problem.

Thanks for the advice guys. I will try this when I get back to Sheffield this weekend.

 

I'll probably bugger it up some how though .
