discodown
I rather like Mary Beard. Which is more than I can say for A A Gill. One of the few things Gordon Ramsey did right was throwing the smug little tosspot out without allowing him any food
SUPERDREAM
http://www.pressgazette.co.uk/story.asp?sectioncode=1&storycode=49072&c=1 She looks quite ordinary to me although there are people who will think she is beautiful I think the lack of modesty will put peoples' backs up. I can imagine women/men receiving a lot of negative comments because of the way they look - lets hope the not so goodlooking don't get it so much. Maybe it's the snide comments people make, perhaps not being able to say directly I hate you because you get more attention from men/women so they come out with a general comment which is meant to hurt. What do you think? She appears to say what she wants, so heres what I think. She is an ugly old bleach blonde hasbeen. Not pretty in the least. Does she use a trowel to apply her slap? Pat Butcher is much more of a woman.
medusa
I have been fascinated by Mary Beard's series on the Romans. She certainly comes across as enthusiastic about her subject, and doesn't seem at all self-absorbed or vain. Here here When I'm watching something interesting about dead civilisations I do not regard it as imperative to also have eye candy at the same time. I'd much rather listen to someone with an interesting viewpoint or some specialist knowledge, as long as they are relatively good at presenting that viewpoint.
