Paul G
Hi, come on down on the 18th of April for an evening dedicated to a new book published about the UK's urban river conservation work and fly fishing. Of the 50 rivers featured, Sheffield is featured for four of the city's waterways. The author (Theo Pike who is based in the Carshalton area of London) will be signing copies of his book and talking about the writing and research process. Location, time and details of the book here: http://www.sheffieldsprite.com/eventsarticle.asp?slevel=0z0z119z147&parent_id=147&renleewtsapf=9 In addition, the Hillsborough Hotel has brewed the first batch of a brand new beer to be launched in support of the local group of conservationists who look after the River Don system around Sheffield (SPRITE). The brew is a porter and goes by the name "SPRITE Wobbly Wader" with a distinctive logo produced free of charge by Chesterfield firm "Image Factory" (http://www.imgfactory.co.uk/)
