A-KID (<20Hz) DRONE / ESCARIOT / LUKAI (DISPLACE) ****************************************************** COMMIX For the last decade Commix has been revolutionising the Drum & Bass Industry. Their unique style gripped the attention of Metalheadz boss, Goldie, and their debut album "Call To Mind" was revered by heads the world over. It included the massive "Be True", which is still battered at raves across the globe to this day. 2012 has seen the release of their new LP, "Dusted", and there will be another album for us all to look forward to later this year. Sheffield is extremely privileged to be welcoming Commix!!! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- STRAY With a string of big releases on labels such as Critical, Exit, Invisible and Med School, Stray has rocketed to the forefront of the underground drum & bass scene. In recent months Stray has been one third responsible for perhaps the biggest 12" of 2012. Released on Kasra's Critical imprint Oblique/St. Clair has received critical acclaim from some of the scene's most major players, with Goldie even using words like 'celestial' in reference to Oblique. Over the years STRAY has notched up a good number of high profile collaborations with the likes of Sabre, Halogenix and Noisia, to name but a few, and has remixed for the likes of London Elektricity and Helios. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MYSTONIC Wait... Resident Mystonic has been tearing up dance floors all over Sheffield. She has supported artists such as Spectrasoul, B.Traits, Icicle, and later in April, Drum & Bass pioneer, Goldie, the head honcho of the highly respected Metalheadz label. She has also made appearances at Tuesday Club and Valve. Expect a big set from Mystonic!!! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A-KID We also have our favourite Dubstepper A-Kid handling the bass weight business for this one. Owner of the <20Hz sound system, and the Founder of Roots @ DQ, A-Kid is involved all over the Sheffield scene. Its worth getting down early for this one!! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DRONE / ESCARIOT / LUKAI Displace residents and founders Drone, Escariot and Lukai set Displace up to push the deeper, darker underground scene in Sheffield and do something a little different.
