schong2111
Provisionally booked the Ceremony Venue today Need to get in touch with the registrar now before I can confirm and pay the deposit, What's a rough idea of the total cost of this for the wedding? Leah-Lacie
http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/archive/index.php/t-284056.html Found this on Google, incidentally from the SF archive, a bit old now, but gives you a rough idea xx
claiireee
I can't remember in total, there's some prices on the council website for wedding licenses etc, I think. How far ahead is your wedding? We secured the registrar for £20, then once it's a year or less until the big day you can pay the rest.

The registrar for our wedding cost £460 - saying that, the wedding isnt at the registry office, and its a sunday on a bank holiday weekend. mdbutterfly
Hi, If you're getting married in Sheffield Town Hall, it will cost you 200.50, + 20.00 for booking and securing the date and time. We also opted for extra marriage certificate + 3.50. That's all we paid.
starstarry
If you're married by a registra who has to come out to an approved venue, then its extra (maybe £150). The Town Hall have a leaflet with all prices - depends, too, what day of the week the marriage is.
kevcookie
Registrar fee for a Saturday is £305.00 then you have to add cost of giving notice which is £30 per person and the issue of a marriage certificate is £3.50. I obtained that info a few months ago so imagine is still right

Jobean
we paid about £400 in total to come out to our venue (a two minute walk from the registrar office, they had the good grace to be embarrassed about this at least when telling us the price!) including deposit and a request for two certificates! They have already told us to get our moneys worth and have a couple of readings!
Hargate
Different districts have different prices, to come to us (near Buxton) they charge about £260 which I think is one of the cheapest in the country.
