HotPhil
There's a lot of variables involved. And the type of car you drive is probably the least important - it's you they're insuring - and you can cost them much the same pay-out no matter what you're driving. beansforyou
Just go on the main car insurance sites, gocompare, money supermarket, compare the market, confused etc. You might be better getting a bike for a few years.
smithy266
Endsleigh is apparently pretty good for young drivers
BarryRiley
They're only generally insurance group 1-5 but I guess the age and cost of parts will go against it. Shop around.
cuttsie
I'm 18 years old and thinking of getting a mini classic for my first car, anyone know ON AVERAGE how much would be charged? Footman James are the classic car experts on insurance I have had a dozen or so classics from Minis to Jags and never paid more than £160. My present 1961 runabout is £109 insurance with free road tax thats why i keep it.

Isabelle
Thats a good price. I would love to own a classic Mini. I was going to say that some classic car insurance companies will not insure you unless you have been driving for a number of years and are over a certain age. With mine, its 3 years, and you have to be over 21 (Lancaster).
