Government to abolish Housing Benefit for under 25's

Recommended Posts

The Tories have already abolished the social fund, in which desperate unemployed people could get crisis loans and budgeting loans for essential items, interest free. The responsibility for these loans has been passed, unfunded, to cash strapped local authorities already reeling from budget cuts.

Yet foreign aid to corrupt dictators and super rich nations has been increased.

No doubt another stupid policy to distract attention away from other things.

Totally agree, this Government keeps coming out with crack pot ideas when they are uncomfortable with the attention their policies are getting. As soon as they threatened to spy on everyone on the internet I thought it would only last a couple of days before the idea was dropped.

They get caught out selling access to the PM and they come out with something crazy while the PM hides under some rock somewhere until it all goes away.

Well anyone finding Tory cut backs should love this.

Oh I must have missed that, was it when he was in Parliament answering question on it, or the part where he was visiting some school and felt he had to give a quick mention it before being whisked off somewhere.

Where is he now? Burma?

Shouldn't he be back in the UK doing something to get us out of the mess he's digging us further into instead of holidaying abroad at the tax payers' expense?

Yes, unavailable to one that works - Not unavailable to one that doesn't work. Will making them homeless help them to find work was the issue in question.

On the other hand will giving them somewhere to live for free give them the impetus to go and find work? Playing devil's advocate.. :)
