How do you know he did? It's the person making the claim he exists and created the universe and mankind that has to prove it to be the case. If you believe he did then you also need to ask who then created that God and where he existed if the universe itself did not exist at the time.

The truthful answer is, we still don't know conclusively and are still trying to figure that out, hence all the money being spent on astrophysics, space exploration etc. It may be that we will never know.

That's fine by me but understand that belief is the acceptance that something is true which does not need any proof to back it up.

Ref your first answer. Very good points. Most people use evolution or  creation as a starting point. But as evolution is development of something that already exists I think this can be discounted.

A mystery as you say in your second point and God may be deemed to be a chemical equation in years to come.

Your third point is correct that belief does not need proof.

I am not a very religious person but can not see any other way apart from creation how the universe came into being.

Why ‘He’ , If you were all powerful would you choose  to be looked at as an old grey bearded bloke? God shouldn’t need a body.

It a biblical thing.

Genesis 1:27

"God created man in his own image", but that again is also open to interpretation.

May be not enough 😆

But all that has nothing to do with God- its humans.

Let's blame science too because it created bombs, weaponry, fighter jets and all sorts of WOMD.

Science does not talk.

Science does not blame.

Science does not instigate.

Science does not make excuses to hide behind..

Science does not pull the trigger - that is down to the humans are in the image of God in their moral, spiritual, and intellectual nature.

Irrational belief systems like your religion have a history of blaming and undermining understanding and knowledge that it cannot manipulate or control.

Remember in your world God created everything - including science which "... created bombs, weaponry, fighter jets and all sorts of WOMD."

If that is assumed to be true, then it follows that there must be multiple gods, some of whom are male and some female, and some that can transition between the many permutations of gender that occur.

The Gods of ancient Greek mythology could fit that description

God gave man knowledge and intellect. What man chooses to do with that is not because of God.

That’s because science is not human.

But scientists are human and work for whoever pays them!

So called climate scientists and their Unions, Associations and Societies are political lobbyists, and their relationships with their paymasters, provide the talking points for partisan politicians.

There’s no fat grants for anybody who disputes their “Catastrophic” models of doom and destruction!

Fortunately we have the real science, empirical evidence of actual observations, to counter them.

Science, but not all scientists, moves inextricably to reality!

Those who are the religious heads and teachers believe that "own image" meant we were created to be like God and not that God was actually a male, that why I put it was down to interpretation. Gods Angels portrayed in the Bible for instance although depicted as mainly male in fact had no gender.

Not forgetting also that many Gods male and female also existed well before the Abrahamic God of the Jews, Christians and Muslims.
