Filipino historian E. San Juan, Jr., alleges that the death of 1.4 million Filipinos constitutes an act of genocide on the part of the United States.

Genocide is part of world history. What's the point in singling out the United States particularly?

American soldiers are often poorly trained, incompetent and cowardly. They have a history of atrocities against civilians that continues to this day, and the idea that the Philippines should be grateful for having a quarter of their population slaughtered is asinine.
You have just insulted my son David and his fellow soldiers. A Veteran of both Desert Storm and the later Iraq war. He is a fine soldier and great father of two daughters and a son. What prompts such people as you to determine the courage and skill of anyone. Are you a veteran of anything? I doubt it. Just another jackass with a chip on your shoulder due to jealousy and incompetence. As an 18 year RN veteran CPO. I've met your like before, and they never win.

That's an unwarranted piece of arrogance. The same attitude prevailed among British officers when the Americans first entered the war in 1942 and got a beating at the Kasserine Pass in North Africa by the remnants of Rommel's crack Afrika Korps.

"Our Italians: the British officers disparingely referred to the Americans.

The Americans however had the ability to learn quickly ftom their earlier defeats. There was nothing poorly trained or cowardly about the soldiers who fought the Japanese, a ruthless no quarter given enemy, across the Pacific for three years, nor the Paras who landed in Normandy the night before D-Day, those who fought their way off the worst beach to land on, Omaha, Pattons army which advanced rapidly across France after D-Day, the men of the 101st Screaming Eagles who fought off the German panzers at Bastogne.

The huge losses among aircrew of the 8th Air Force who flew daylight bombing raids from England for 2-1/2 yeras

You ought to give yourself a bit of an education and take a trip across to Normandy and visit the American cemetery above Omaha Beach and tell the 10,000 troops buried there that they were poorly trained and cowardly

If the Americans had attacked us in the 30's like they was planning to, we would had beat them by miles, pluss would had formed an a alliance with the Third Reich. FACT!
How would America plan to attack the UK in the thirties. The country had hardly any army or weapons, but more imprortantly no desire or reason to.They didn't need our coal, they had plenty of their own. they didn't like our cars, . FACT

You people and the rubbish you dig up from YouTube :hihi: America in the 30s was deep in the Big Depression. They had enough problems of their own without going to war with a country 3000 miles away.

Filipino historian E. San Juan, Jr., alleges that the death of 1.4 million Filipinos constitutes an act of genocide on the part of the United States.

facts :

1. The Marxist Mr. Juan is NOT an historian.

2. he also lives in the United States, and also styles himself 'Jr', which is something Filipinos quite often do, but is a habit which they 'borrowed' from the United States.

conclusion :

Mr Juan is a bit of a jerk.

the first ever President of the Philippines, Manuel Quezon, as a young man and frustrated that the co-operation the Americans were getting from the local population, as in 'hearts and minds', was winning them, the Americans, the war, once famously said in utter frustration, "Damn the Americans! Why don't they tyrannize us more?"

does that sound like 'genocide' to you?
