Visual proof of how over populated the UK is

Recommended Posts

There is a very interesting website that gives you a nice visual image of how populated the planet is. Give it a go yourself and see how long it takes for the whole of the UK to vanish. Take note at how much of the world is left when the UK finally disappears.

It goes to show how populated our country is compared to the rest of the world.

On the other hand, look how quickly some parts of the UK disappear... It's visual proof of high population density in parts of the country, not proof of overpopulation...

yes it is unless you think we live on 100% of our land.

its a comparison, and shows parts of the UK are close to 3rd world nations.

the UK finally vanishes at 440 people per square mile, while the majority of Europe its 220 people per square mile.

The UK is over crowded, that's obvious to anyone with half a brain and this is why we have such pressure on our health services and housing, not to mention our inability to feed our population from the little land we have.

Huh?

Clearly we don't, we have large national parks and areas of low population density. But apart from you having stated that it's so I see no link to overpopulation, only to high population in some areas.

Closer to developed nations though, like Japan and the seaboard of the US.

So? The majority of the UK is gone much earlier, and even so what defines 440 as over populated rather than just highly populated?

So rather than actually offer any evidence, you're just going to imply that anyone who doesn't agree with you is stupid. Fail.

and this is why we have such pressure on our health services and housing, not to mention our inability to feed our population from the little land we have.

None of which were the evidence you presented as proving overpopulation.
