andyofborg
titan arum – the plant that waits for decades to bloom and then does so with a terrific stink before lying dormant for several decades more. guess which party? i don't suppose it's a hard question to answer for the chavs: for the intellectuals:
rubydazzler
I actually didn't realise that there was a general election next month. Bizarrely, my polling card only mentions the local elections.

rubydazzler
there might be, it's not too late to call one.Do we even need one? Your paper looks like it already called an election and decided the result all by itself without reference to the electorate. Remind me, who owns that particular rag these days. JFKvsNixon
The issue with the LibDems is that nobody likes unpopular decisions, and being in power at the moment means having to make lots of unpopular decisions.
Mr Soft
The real issue in politics now is that nobody trusts any political party. They are all equally bad unfortunately. Only diehards will see it differently, no matter which party their allegiance is to.........

Labour isn't electable now and, barring a miracle, still won't be electable in four years time. The Greens aren't going to have sufficient numbers to make any difference. So more people will vote Conservative/UKIP? But then they won't need to appease the bleeding heart Liberals, without the coalition, they'll be able to do exactly what they want to do. Hopefully the tide will have turned by the time the general election comes along. It could be a whole new ball game. Labour might even have got a worthwhile leader and some decent candidates. Or there might be more Independents. Who knows.
Mr Soft
Why do people think that politics will continue along the same lines after the revolution?
