sazaboo
They are clearly using police type clothing to promote safety....but its not right, especially as 'specials' are now using their own horses a to form a mounted section. If I was in trouble and a polite cyclist or rider ignored me, id be a bit cross!
Agent Orange
YEP......that is the site and thanks. How can anyone wearing gear like that pretend that they are not impersonating police officers? But they are not impersonating the police. Apart from the apparel, which looks similar, but not the same (the clue is in the word 'polite'), how is she pretending to be a police officer? laineyiow
We have quite a number of horse riders wearing these high vis vests and not once have I thought they were the police. Mind you that could be due to us, opposed to Sheffield, not having any mounted police on the island!
anywebsite
They are very clearly pretending to be police as you rightly say. The attire should be banned. If you can't tell the difference then you shouldn't be driving without glasses.

anywebsite
They're big clear letters, look to be bigger than a car number plate (which you should be able to read at 25 yards), looks very little like a police uniform. http://www.cavaletticlothing.com/p-1454-best-seller-equisafety-polite-hi-vis-waistcoat.aspx
suzyoo
Horses for courses is my motto. Horses should only be ridden on grassland. Roads are for cars. In my view she was attempting to fool the public into thinking that she was a police officer, so she WAS impersonating one. so have you reported this to the police
