Old farm bottom of manor lane

Recommended Posts

Yep...sticklebacks,tadpoles and frogs..

The tip from Nunnery Colliery sided onto the path down to the pond.

Used to go up on the tip when it was snowing...but thinkng back the water that collected at the bottom of the tip was all colours so obviously polluted!:o

Don't remember the farm per se, but I do remember going to Manor Lane School in the late 40s. Right next to the school on City Rd, there used to be an outdoor pig sty. Kids used to look over at the pigs on their way to school. Presumably, the pigs were part of the farm.
