runningowl
Shin splints are also an overuse injury caused by over tight soleous ie. calf muscles and to a lesser extent hamstrings. Poor core muscles can cause it as well as poor running form. Runners tend to get shin splints from vastly upping mileage or intensity to soon and not stretching tight muscles out. Any more questions just ask (endurance & natural ie. barefoot/minimalist running coach)
