Caitlin09
Hi, we have bought a car today and got the Reistration certificate and the little green slip (V5c/2) that is used to tax it until we get the log book. The little green slip has been filled it by a previous owner so I can't tax it with it. Does anyone know if I can tax my car if I cross the persons name on the V5C/2 an put my own there? Caitlin09
I can't, the disc will go to the person that is on the registration certificate. Only got it today so it's not in my name yet.
Leah-Lacie
Ahhh I see! Not sure then, maybe take it to the Post Office and tell them whats happened? If its ok to change the name, do it while you're there! x

Caitlin09
Yes I am going to try that in the morning, thanks Leah. No Nikki because he isn't insured on it.
Isabelle
You may have to tax it at the DVLA office. Has the new keeper slip been stamped already by a post office? Ask at the post office, they will tell you what you need to do.
