And not a moment too soon.

According to http://freerobertgreen.co.uk/robert-green-free-on-17th-may/

"April 20th, 2012 by Admin

The good news has just come through from Robert that his custodial sentence will end and he will be FREE to go home early in the morning of 17th May. He received the news in the Governor’s office this afternoon and there has been much jubilation at Craiginches ever since.

Another bit of good news is that the Ombudsman for Scotland is looking into the appointment of Sheriff Bowen to Robert’s trial. We look forward to further details on this interesting development"

As there has been zero reporting of this case by our controlled media you may not know of Robert Green (not the goal keeper) see link for further details.

Great news. I haven't seen anything in the media at all. Can't open the link though as it says users from your country are forbidden!!

Hi teddie.

Apparently people in Germany and Portugal have that problem. Does that include you?

There has been no reporting of the case.

A bit of background on here though-

http://m.warringtonguardian.co.uk/news/8286244.___Officers_had_no_warrant_during_raid___/

I should point out the article contains an incorrect statement- "arrested for handing out campaign leaflets."

He was on his way to hand out leaflets when arrested but jailed because he had previously named the alleged paedophiles in talks and on the Internet, these names though we're already in the public domain.

Apparently his actions caused a breach of the peace by upsetting the alleged abusers, for which he recieved 9 months and 3 months for breaking his bail conditions.

He's done about 2 months.

Shocking story indeed!

I live up in Scotland, and have never heard owt about this sad story.

I hope those involved in the ring are exposed, and brought to justice.

This reminds me of a case back in 2006 Dumfries i think? called 'justice denied' where a female with a learning disability was constantly raped, and sadly let down by the authorities.

Good to hear it.

I don't do FB myself.

I just hope the ball keeps rolling and a proper enquiry into all this takes place.

Won't live in hope about that! Same with the McCanns, it's all going on but unless it favours them the media doesn't cover it. Hey Ho, maybe one day, whp knows, as long as the "little people" keep digging we can keep things alive.

Hi Shane.

Thanks for the reply, I guess this is the case you refer to-

http://www.mwcscot.org.uk/web/FILES/Publications/Justice_Denied_Summary_FINAL.pdf

"No-one has been prosecuted for the alleged offences against Ms A. Those who pose

a known risk to her safety remain at large within her community, while Ms A continues to endure a protective regime that effectively deprives her of much of her liberty.

A key motivation for our investigation was our strong conviction that the circumstances surrounding Ms A’s experiences are

not unique. We have made several recommendations that identify ways in which

• the Scottish Government

• NHS Boards

• Social Work departments

• Police

• Professional regulatory bodies

could improve our protective and judicial responses to people with a learning disability. We hope that, through the implementation of these recommendations, people will receive the protection and redress that the laws of Scotland have been put in place to provide."

There seems to be many similar cases with frightening implications.

Operation Ore

http://www.tpuc.org/node/34

"In 1999, an international investigation of child pornographers and paedophiles run by Britain's National Criminal Intelligence Service, code named Operation Ore, resulted in 7,250 suspects being identified in the United Kingdom alone. Some 1850 people were criminally charged in the case and there were 1451 convictions. Almost 500 people were interviewed "under caution" by police, meaning they were suspects. Some 900 individuals remain under investigation. In early 2003, British police began to close in on some top suspects in the Operation Ore investigation, including senior members of Blair's government.

*However, Blair issued a D-Notice, resulting in a gag order on the press from publishing any details of the investigation. Blair cited the impending war in Iraq as a reason for the D-Notice. Police also discovered links between British Labour government paedophile suspects and the trafficking of children for purposes of prostitution from Belgium and Portugal (including young boys from the Casa Pia orphanage in Portugal).

"Members of the ring snatched children as they slept at the state-run Casa Pia orphanages in Lisbon and took them to grand houses to endure sickening abuse."

Dunblane.

http://www.dunblaneexposed.info/2005/06/i-blame-police-sex-ring-for-conspiracy-of-silence-over-the-dunblane-massacre/

"Byline: FIDELMA COOK

Source: MAIL ON SUNDAY

Page: 15

POLICE were involved in a paedophile ring that covered up abuse allegations against the man responsible for the Dunblane school massacre, it was claimed last night.

The astonishing claim is being made by former paramedic Sandra Uttley, who is going to the European Court of Human Rights to demand a new inquiry into the tragedy.

Sixteen children and their teacher were shot dead by Thomas Hamilton in March 1996 after he burst into their school gym and fired at random as the youngsters began an exercise class. The attack prompted tighter gun controls in the UK.

Miss Uttley alleges that Lord Cullen’s inquiry into the massacre was fatally flawed because crucial evidence was withheld from it."

Seems the Hollie Greig case might be the tip of the iceberg.
