puisseguin
Aren't they all? Isn't everyone? Aren't you? No. No and no. You shouldn't judge everyone by what you see when you look in the mirror.
truman
If everyone who could afford private healthcare paid for it, the NHS would have a lot more resources. On the flip side ..if private healthcare was done away with ( as per some socialist's wishes) then the NHS would be even more overloaded..
Mecky
No. No and no. You shouldn't judge everyone by what you see when you look in the mirror. I'll take that as meaning one thing and saying another, pinch of salt anyone?
Riannon
Are you suggesting that we can't afford to send the same amount on health care as our European neighbours? We probably could have if the last government hadn't spent it all. Now we are seeing countries like Greece, Italy, Spain Portugal and Ireland where they spent more than the economy could support, have been downgraded on their credit ratings and paying more for less as a result of the consequent massive hikes in intrest rates. donkey
But he did use the service. He went to school. Oh I see, you are conveniently unable to correctly interpret the point being made. Either that, or genuinely unable to understand it. In which case, Bless!
Frank Sidney
Its funny when people like Livingston are caught out. It makes the left squirm like salted slugs...
pottedplant
If i can just make one point clear, you will get the best treatment in a NHS hospital, all you will get extra if you pay for it, is in a nutshell comfort and the speed of treatment. After all, the Doctors and surgeons in the private sector all work for the NHS. Not quite correct -there are drugs that the NHS cant afford to fund which private insurance does pick up. pottedplant
I can-its because private health care means people often undergo needless episodes of minor surgery simply to fund the lifestyle of egotistical private surgeons.Such talents should be used for more fundamental operations. What evidence suggest this happens?
WeX
Nothing new, remember Diane Abbot and her comments to Tony Blair about sending his kids to private school, only to do the exact same thing herself.
