Does anyone know fare for bus's in eckington please?

I'm taking my sons to their swimming lessons later and have to catch the 53 stagecoach bus into Eckington. This is the first time I'll have caught this bus and I know that crossing in Derbyshire costs more but was wondering if anyone knew fare prices please. I've rung the travel line who could only give me day saver prices at 3.70 for kids and 5.50 for adults. This makes it nearly £14 and thats a lot of money for me to spend on 2 bus rides. Surely single fares would be cheaper?
