sy89
I did post this on who do you think you are forum....and thanks to loish for we think the location of these photos are sheffield, crookes valley park. https://www.dropbox.com/s/jdcibel5gt1r3v8/13-10-2013.JPG https://www.dropbox.com/s/8woljvkg74r693q/13-10-2012.JPG
Plain Talker
No, that location is too far out in the country to have been Crookes Valley Park. CVP is too "urban". (surrounded by academic and housing properties) Could it be Lodge Moor, Bradfield, or Stannington?

gnvqsos
I believe this is close to Crookes cemetery, the adjacent field now forming the burial grounds. As said above CVP would be too built up by the time of the photo.
sy89
I quote this from wdytya forum "I can't say when the photo was taken but the park looks a bit like Crookes Valley Park in Sheffield, taken from the angle of where the bowling green is now over towards Ponderosa. I say this because of the line of trees seem familiar and there looks like railings from the road there too. If it is Sheffield it would be worth putting it on Sheffield Forum. http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk"

As I said it feels like Stannington, Lodge Moor or Bradfield. In fact i think it looks like the road at the very top of Stannington (Riggs High Road) though I am more than prepared to be wrong. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=Riggs+High+Road,+Bradfield,+Sheffield+District&hl=en&ll=53.390956,-1.559329&spn=0.008855,0.038581&sll=53.390956,-1.559329&sspn=0.009828,0.01929&oq=riggs+high+road&t=h&hnear=Riggs+High+Rd,+South+Yorkshire+S6,+United+Kingdom&z=15&layer=c&cbll=53.390957,-1.559328&panoid=MNOrsAU4PYBHhJ5JjxCbgA&cbp=11,198.62,,0,16.
