I quote this from wdytya forum

"I can't say when the photo was taken but the park looks a bit like Crookes Valley Park in Sheffield, taken from the angle of where the bowling green is now over towards Ponderosa. I say this because of the line of trees seem familiar and there looks like railings from the road there too.

If it is Sheffield it would be worth putting it on Sheffield Forum. http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk"

I believe this is close to Crookes cemetery, the adjacent field now forming the burial grounds. As said above CVP would be too built up by the time of the photo.

The field had a building in it as in the picture?

there are two stone walls, bordering a country lane, and fields behind the people in the photos. the lie of the land just does not add up to it being the park. As I said it feels like Stannington, Lodge Moor or Bradfield.

In fact i think it looks like the road at the very top of Stannington (Riggs High Road) though I am more than prepared to be wrong.
