gnvqsos
He might not be corrupt, he might turn up to Parliament every day, but he doesn't really do much else. He hasn't been able to to attract much investment into Bolsover, and the place is still full of unemployment and drug and alcohol abuse. It is much harder for Labour MPs to attract investment;by contrast the Tories are closer to those with power and finance, and many have been corrupted by the offer of commission payments, introduction fees and the like.So Dennis has done well really, and like I said they now have broadband,Sky TV and a Michelin chip shop(***)
gnvqsos
Bolsover would vote for a pig with a red rosette pinned to it. I have seen many pigs triumph in a beauty contest, and you would be made very welcome in NE Derbyshire.
gnvqsos
I know, in other words a Dinosaur! He is still trying to be a socialist when no socialist parties exist. They exist, but are not represented in Westminster eg Respect,Socialist Alliance etc. Many socialists recognise that achieving real change through Parliament is a dream,a myth and are now seeking other means of change. One single politician can't be held responsible for the social ills of one Town. The problems you mentioned are nationwide. Bolsover has class, and something to be proud of, a famous politician and a famous castle.
sandie
Bolster would vote for a pig with a red rosette pinned to it. Excuse me I used to live in Bolsover and I take your comment as insulting. Dennis is down to earth, and yes the town has a drug and employment problem, but name a town that does not has the same problems.

twodeno
When Dennis Skinner quite rightly asks why Jeremy Hunt is getting better employment rights than any other worker in Britain, and if it's because he's taking the rap for Cameron. Cameron's ill-thought out, totally inappropriate and just downright smarmy answer is to advise Skinner to take his own pension. What a loathsome specimen Cameron is. He's not fit to lick Skinner's boots. After he publically said that Skinner was a 'dinosaur', I think Skinner's got a case for ageist bullying. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/david-cameron/9236861/David-Cameron-tells-Dennis-Skinner-to-resign.html totally agree
