shims
Some great records or, if required, a turntable and one or two great records to start off with. The perfect antidote to all this digital junk people get over-excited about.
quisquose
What car are you driving a bloody tank £250 would fill my car nearly 4 times We drive an average size saloon. It was half-full at the weekend but I decided to top it up since I was passing a petrol station and it cost £60. On that basis I think ANGELFIRE1's car (60-70L) is closer to average and your car must only have a 40L tank which is very small.

quisquose
Gets my vote...stock up on brownie points with your Mrs for free Brownie points? Still relatively early in your marriage there L00b? My wife would view the proposition of a weekend away with some suspicion. "What's he done wrong now?" "What's the ulterior motive I wonder?" Having said that, her suspicions with regard to the latter might be correct.
Cyclone
Been there already this year, unfortunately that isn't on the admissible list, neither is giving it away i've asked already. If you prefer either of those options then get something that you can resell on ebay and then head down to tescos.
