gnvqsos
Its a shame you're too ignorant to know the difference between a councillor and an MP. You are equally foolish to make this inference from those comments. Many people have been both a councillor and an MP,such as Blunkett,Betts and Michie(not solicitors)

studentbob
The ramblings of King, and his relationship with members of the MPC, over the last few years just goes to show what a shambles modern economics has become. Nobody can agree, they all have their own theories (fodder for some future book deal, no doubt - hoping to be quoted by undergraduates in twenty years time). I am struggling from memory to recall any correct forecasts by King. I honestly think that he lost it years ago (along with most economists, and to be fair, politicians of all persuasions). Not a very constructive post, I know, but I've been working all night and I'm knackered. And King thinks that the near zero interest rate is still something to be proud of. The Currency Wars are already here, and this is just the beginning.
anywebsite
Can anybody find any of these Bank of England warnings from before 2008? If they were that vocal, then there must be an old news article on the internet somewhere...

Tony
They should just report it and led the Mod Team sort it out one way or the other from a position of knowledge, instead of letting their insecurities manifest themselves with silly sniping and ridiculous rows of smilies. Ooo, look at me Mam
xenia
I wish to make it absoutely clear that I do not have any other ID than XENIA. I am not sure how or why I need to prove this. Certain persons feel I should also provide a full CV. I am a fomer miner, steelworker, who was a student (part time) in the 70s, I worked in a number of bars in the city whilst I was studying. I now work part time as a Security Guard and I help out occasionally in a relatives business. I do not regard this as a remarkable life story. Why it seems to irritate or upset some people I do not understand. I am a member of the Conservative party and I am proud of it. That is probably the reason. Congratulations Labour on your er "success" in the local elections. Lowest turnout since 2000. Dont hold your breath about winning any elections that matter. Vote Conservative (next time) Toodle Pip
