No they didnt, Scagill cost me my job in the pit and the scum that ran the steelworkers unions cost me the job in the steelworks. Unions are run my self seeking envious power hungry gangsters and those who join unions are little better than sheep. The unions would have ruined this country and sold us out to their bosses in Moscow if it had not been for the Tories under Maggie Thatcher. Bad form i know to talk of financial matters, but I was a steelworker, and a union shop steward, and my redundancy payment, pension and wages over the years worked will put your lauded wealth to shame. I guess your distaste for the miners and steelworkers unions didn’t stop you handing back your redundancy money, something that only came about due to the employment rights fought for by trade unions, the same rights that the current government is trying to dismantle.
