alchresearch
I think you will find Conservatives hold the record for wasting money can you remember black Wednesday. £3 billion. As opposed to £20 billion spent on the war on Iraq and Afghanistan.
WeX
Yep, I did use it, cos it's pretty accurate, and if that makes me 'a reverse snob' then so be it. However I am not ignorant, and the very fact you resort to insults is testament to your lack of understanding! I suspect Mr Wex, you are trolling, looking for a suitable victim So you are happy to be called a reverse snob, but you use the term snob as a form of insult to Cameron and Osborne. Maybe this is why I called you ignorant as you certainly are "lacking in knowledge, information, or awareness about something in particular" as goes the definition of the word. Being a reverse snob doesn't mean you are the antidote to snobbery, just that you have the exact same prejudices as a regular snob but you come from the reverse position. Frank Sidney
Its all a bit puzzling really. Labour made a big mess of it. Condems are making a mess of sorting the last mess out So we vote for the original cause of the mess because the new lot are making a mess of sorting their mess out... Happ Hazzard
No they spend money where it needs spending like the NHS and education. If they hadn't got it, they shouldn't have spent it. The education system was better prior to 1997 than it was after Labour's 13 year reign of terror. There's a good reason we have record number of NEETs, and employers would rather employ immigrants than our own school leavers.
ampersand
Going back to the original thread title, I'm not sure how many people voted Labour "in protest" What appears to have happened generally is that those who would usually have voted Labour have still done so, the enthusiastic Conservatives and Lib Dems have continued to support their parties, the floating Lib Dems appear to have stayed at home or gone Green and the floating Conservatives appear to have voted UKIP I know the electorate as a whole often has peculiar tastes, but I find it difficult to believe that Labour is as popular as these results appear to show - a 38% share of a 30% turnout isn't much of an endorsement Not enough time has passed since the last Labour Government for those who abandoned them at the General Election to forgive and forget. As unsuccessful as the Coalition has been so far, all they are doing is alienating their fringe support, Labour hasn't yet done enough to persuade those fringe supporters to vote for them come 2015
