Was it worth it Nick?

It's better to be right than to be popular. The Lib Dems are doing an excellent job in government on two fronts. They're acting as a brake on the Tories more extreme measures while at the same time playing an important role in preventing Labour from getting back in power.

I was thinking about all those who are voting Labour as some sort of protest. Some people have extremely short memories don't they!

I think its more of a case of Labour voters turned out this time while voters for the other parties stayed at home.

and for these reasons I am glad the Lib Dem exist ... anyone who thinks this result means Labour could win the general election in 2015 is seriously deluding themselves.

Nick Clegg has put me off voting all together. I did not even bother voting this year, not even on the Mayor Referendum.

How did that go by the way ? I'm hoping it was a No or we will have that Paul Scrivern trying to get by at the top :(

hahaa..you can put a brave spin on it if you want...

I am sure the libs knew they were on dire straights and new that all their votes counted, and so they would have voted for Lib Dems in as many numbers as possible....but people have realised that they were stuffed by them and decided to give them the elbow....

Same here. I have always voted, but these last few years have become totally disillusioned.

By which you mean they did the only thing they could and chose the party which had a marginal majority to work together with to form a coalition government with them as the minor partner.
