ab6262 Posted May 4, 2012 Share Posted May 4, 2012 recent happenings on ecclesall road & in the past where established bars /Restaurants seem to magically morph into something else almost overnight!! the latest one seems to have created a bit of a stir even here on SF to the extent that the whole thing has been censored:suspect:. now i am in the catering trade in part and this seems to be getting more prevelant in fact everyone seems to be at it ......in fact i may give it a go myself, follow fashion so to speak. maybe one of the local papers may pick up on this???? For the venue lets choose another of Sheffield's pubs that isn't really that nice inside and doesn't really serve brilliant beer and start serving better beer that will get a few more people's backs up. For the business model we will start with a Chinese theme then change it to Thai then to Shushi then to South East Asian then to Indian and then to Mexican and then to a world fusion restaurant and after about 6 months just bar snacks! Usually the article starts "local businessman and entrepeneur successfully refinances business" followed by said businessman gushing "we are looking forward to putting our energies back into rebranding our business to continue to be the best etc etc" No mention of the creditors or , more usually , hmrc who get shafted... "entrepreneurs" who shaft the hmrc are essentially stealing out of your pockets. No matter, so long as someone at the paper gets a free dinner eh?
