finnbear
Hi I have friends visiting at the weekend and I am hoping to book a restaurant in the Eccleshall road area as we will be going out there afterwards.. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thank you!
Wigtwizzle
If you like Italian food then Maranello's is good. Otto's is good too on Sharrowvale road which is just behind Ecclesall road. You can bring your own wine here too.
DerbyTup
Kitchen is good, but very small inside. It's a bit like being in a Kitchen. Bistrot Pierre, I hear, is very good. I haven't ate there myself, but nearly did once. There's the Curate's house in the Botanical Gardens area - that's quite nice as well - and not too far from Eccy Road. The All Siam Thai restaurant on Eccy Road, next to Hunter's Bar - is really excellent but pricey. You've got 2 Indians which are decent, Ambar on Eccy Rd south and Ashoka on Eccy road And there's the new one, House of Spice, on Eccy road opp. Bistrot Pierre. There's a few on Sharrow Vale road - one mentioned above - which have BYO arrangements. I don't know if they are any good tbh. They aren't quite so plush if you know what I mean? But maybe the food is ok?
