Advice needed on smart car problem

Recommended Posts

Have you looked on any Smart car forums to see if it's a common issue.

On Peugeots we have something similar and very common. It turns out that 9 times out of 10 its a dirt build up behind the sensor, and it's a simple case of taking off the back wheels, unscrewing the sensor from behind the hub and cleaning the dirt of the mounting plate.

thanks, i will search some smart forums... i just worried about getting ripped off. 0nce had a merc A class, the allarms started going off when driving, took it to the garage and they told me that due to low underbody, rain had got into the electrics, needed a whole new system at 800 plus... turned out it was just a faulty door catch, my neighbour adjusted it for the price of a pint !!!!
