aelfheah
I used to love a good pub quiz and trying to win some beer or cash etc, but since the advent of mobile 'phones, virtually every quiz I've been at, someone uses their device and goes online or texts/rings someone for the answers. So, is there any way to avoid the cheats and maintain the relevance of a pub quiz any more?
Classic Rock
There's a bingo version of a pub quiz where your answers are entered into a sheet and if you get a line, you call out. This makes it fairer. I don't think pub quizzes are quite as popular as they used to be, the big prizes aren't there anymore (that I've heard of) and mid week pub turn outs aren't as large as they used to be. They're usually just done as part of tradition, where it has been running for years for the die hard locals who'll play for a couple of pints.
