Mecky
The article and my comments were specific to France, you've just made "socialist countries" up. Hollandes potential victory has been on the cards for a while, people with millions at stake can move very quickly, hence the article was quoting actual increases in French interest in the London property market rather than your random asertion that blinking takes a week. People can choose which they find more convincing. You can't move the goal posts to where you want them you know.
andygardener
French people will not move here. Really, you should tell the already large and wealthy French community in Kensington.
Magnese
Really, you should tell the already large and wealthy French community in Kensington. Large is a very relative term.

andygardener
Large is a very relative term. It is. But when were talking about high net worth people you don't need hundreds of thousands. 5000 of Frances top earners moving to south Ken would have a very nice impact of our tax revenues, and a serious impact on French revenues. Why do you believe that people earning multi millions would not move to make a 30% saving on their taxes?
Jason Bourne
Why do you believe that people earning multi millions would not move to make a 30% saving on their taxes? Because the only wealthy people who move to England are fleeing even worse countries?
andygardener
Because the only wealthy people who move to England are fleeing even worse countries? The substantial wealthy French ex-pat community already in existance in London is testament that that is not correct.
Magnese
Wealthy people do not benefit our country anyhow as they evade paying their dues and expect use their prosperity to create power . It would be better to murder all the rich and take their possessions. This is how it started in England in 1066....remember?
