MrSmith
Who knows, we might even get to the point where those who want to work have the jobs and those who don't want to work don't have jobs so they don't have to. What's not to like? They should add another bit of legislation; if you get the sack for being lazy you don't get benefits unless you work for it. HeadingNorth
you clearly haven't understood what is being proposed. I clearly have, since that is, exactly, what is being proposed.

andyofborg
Exactly, and productivity isn't alway's easy to measure. or define what's more productive ? doing the job you are contractually obliged to do or massaging the bosses ego
wednesday1
I wonder if the legistlation will get rid of many of the blood-suckers in the financial services.
MrSmith
Being "good at ones job" is one of those very subjective phrases that is very much open to abuse. How can it be proved or disproved? Employers make their money by having a good hard working work force; it wouldn't be in an employer’s best interest to sack someone that works hard. scivers on the other hand make it harder for everyone. Mister M
It's worth pointing out that the author of these new employment rules Adrian Beecroft is a venture capitalist and multi millionaire and owns Wonga, the high interest loan company (or loan shark company). He has a vested interest in seeing people in desperate economic situations. Funny how Cameron forgot to mention that.
andyofborg
I clearly have, since that is, exactly, what is being proposed. no you haven't since what is being proposed is "no fault dismissal" that may or may not make it easier to remove unproductive staff, but it also makes it just as easy to remove productive staff
Sebtine
I clearly have, since that is, exactly, what is being proposed. When listening to Condem proposals you should try harder to look at what the real message is rather than believing what is on the surface. I can always tell when cameron and clegg are lying......their lips move.
