the moo
I saw this old chap on his scooter on a busy main road driving the wrong way in a lane for cars that needed to turn right and thought that can't be right, I've seen them weaving on roads and flying down footpaths, now I know it gives people independence but can't help thinking they should be regulated, what do people think ? Eater Sundae
I'm not sure what you mean by regulated. There are rules for all road users.

Eater Sundae
well should they be on a main road for a start, I don't think so. There two sorts. Slow ones for pavement use and faster ones for road use. (I think the two speeds are 4 and 8 mph, but I might be wrong).
bigjoker
well should they be on a main road for a start, I don't think so. But some mobility scooters are allowed on the road, specially made for that purpose. so all in all this thread is rather silly, moo
adamd
Give the users some slack:roll: No dont, they should be sold on Doctors recommendation or something. Half the people using them are just too bloody idle to walk. Get them licensed. I regularly see one that is more gaffer tape than plastic. Its had that many bumps it looks dangerous.
