I dont understand this idea that "the money all been spent", "the money's all gone"!! what do they mean its all spent? its all gone?? wheres it gone, vanished into thin air?? money circulates doesn't it? why has it stopped circulating? has demand gone down for stuff?...no, is it the case that people dont want to work anymore?...no.

What the hell is happening??

It is all a global conspiracy, for something for more deeper and sinister at play.

UK money has been leaking out to places like China for years as we buy their consumer goods. They buy some stuff from us like Land Rovers but there is a huge imbalance.

Government money ran out when the banks went bust. They provided 25% of the government's income and it stopped overnight but the government spending carries on. That's why they left that note.

The reason the economy is struggling to get going again is because there is simply too little demand for UK goods and services, especially from Europe. If Europe goes belly up as seems inevitable there will be even less demand for our goods and services.

Hmmm, I do seem to remember us having a strong manufacturing base in this country until a evil witch closed most of it down?
