Is there.a limit.for how heavy you have to be for horse riding

Recommended Posts

I think you'd need a heavy horse, a Clydesdale or Shire x, or a cob x with a draught horse. Not all stables will have those available as they often mainly rely on child learners as their customer base, and seem to have a limit of about 12/13 stone. I'd say about a 20% weight ratio would be right.

Hope you find somewhere to accommodate you and you enjoy it. It's great exercise and pastime. Better than being stuck indoors in a gym somewhere.
