Solution - I suggest the Russians and Chinese go in as a peace-keeping force seeing as no-one else can

that is never going to happen, even once you've stopped laughing your head off at the notion of the Russians and Chinese being a unified peacekeeping force. If you knew anything about Asia at all, you'd know that the two countries hate each other's guts.

the Turks and the Arab League making common cause and going in is a much more viable, only they won't do it either and not just because Russia - though probably not China so much - would protest. They won't do it because they know they'd probably never see the end of it.

The motive of the Assad regime is quite simply to cling on to power. Whilst they have the support of the Russians they have no fear on anyone invading them.

The Russians are getting a bit edgy about supporting Assad

i am not convinced that the government even did this. We are being manipulated by the media in what we hear. A large number in syria love the regime, what kind of idiot leader would do this. He is a well educated man. I may be wrong but i am not convinced, looks more like terrorists to me. Do people really believe soldiers who may have families there would do this. If it was out of site out of mind i.e tanks or bombs maybe plausible but bullets to the head no way

I agree, it's the Mad Mullah's orchestrating this. Do we really need another Muslim state in this region?

Because that is what will happen if we interfere.

Israel will find a way of getting Americans and Brits to pay for the privilege of getting our sons killed in the scheme.

antisemitic garbage. The line here, is that Israel in some way wants war, and in Europe at least, it goes back to the Nazi claim that 'the Jews' were in some way 'responsible' for WW1.

you can read about it in Mein Kampf if you want.

Israel clearly wants Syria to remain in the situation it is at the moment, totally unstable, for years.

they also wouldn't mind if it spills over into Lebanon, but not too much, and only if it discomfits Hizbullah. What they want is a secular Sunni movement emerging as the winner in any Syrian civil war, replacing Bashar's dad's Allawite dictatorship concoction that has been running the Syria show, since 1970. Then the Syria link with Iran will be cut, Hizbullah in Lebanon will be looking over their shoulders, and it'll be L'chaim, in Israel. Drinks all round. Last thing Israel wants is the Americans or a European power turning up. They could maybe live with the Sunni Turks and Arab powers cobbling something together.

Netanyahu: Assad slaughtering Syrian civilians with the aid of Iran, Hezbollah

Vice PM Mofaz accuses Syrian regime of committing genocide during 15-month uprising; at least 35 people killed in fresh clashes in Homs.

"A crime against humanity, genocide, is being conducted in Syria today. And the silence of the world powers is contrary to all human logic," said Mofaz during an interview on Army Radio.

Foreign powers were "making do with flaccid condemnation" rather than intervening to overthrow Assad, he added.

It would appear that the Israeli Establishment disagrees with your faux analysis.

that's only because he knows, that nobody is going to do it.

Israel likes the situation, as it is. The instability in Syria, suits Israel. They don't want it too change, too suddenly.

after all Israel could have taken out Damascus themselves, in a few days any time it wanted and has had the capability to do it for about 50 years. Bombed it to smitherheens. But they wouldn't want to damage a city that is even older than Jerusalem.

unfortunately for you, you don't understand the Middle East at all.
